My Party

I had a great party. My friend Brittany came over and spent the night. We had pizza and chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream and watched Hairspray and Emma (very good). I had a great day and a nice time with my family.

12 Days of Christmas

There are only 6 more days till Christmas. I am excited to see my family and to celebrate with them. I cannot wait to see their faces when they see what I got for them.

What about Mary?

For some reason this year I have been thinking a lot about Mary. What was it like to be the mother of God? She is young, perhaps younger than me and yet God tells her he is going to use her. She must have been frightened about how people would react when they could tell she was pregnant. What would happen to her? But one thing that amazes me is that she trusted God. She could be killed as soon as anyone found out. Yet she said: "let it it be for me just as you have said." She trusted God. If she could trust God with her very life why do I have trouble just waiting for God to bring a guy into my life. He has a plan and will use me right where I am, and I need to trust that he will do what is best for me when it is best for me. I will trust in him. I want the first few lines of Mary's Magnificant to be true of me.
"My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior, For he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the almighty has done great things for me— holy is his name. His mercy extends to all those who fear him, from generation to generation. Tomato Face

We finally got our pots/pans unpacked and I made dinner. Well the kids ate a lot and they enjoyed every minute of the spaghetti.

Over the past Week

Well, there are not many toys out at the new house yet so the kids are being rather inventive. Although the TV is still there when the worst comes to the worst.

Weekend Break

Well, I was able to come home from the Hamernick's house this weekend to be with my family. We had a nice Friday evening and then on Saturday night we went to the "Bethlehem Walk", which is a walk around a church that was supposed to be a walk from Nazareth to Bethlehem. It was fun. This morning we got snowed in, church was canceled and so was our after church Christmas party. So we just spent time together. We watched A Christmas Carol and then some of us went out to build a snowman. That was fun. I go back to the Hamernick's tomorrow and then on Friday I will be home for the Christmas holidays.

Puppies

We are foster-ing 3 puppies at home. Here are pictures of my siblings with the puppies.

Working at the House

We went to help at the house again. Every one was great. People painted, grouted, cleaned, and put cabinets together. It was hard work and LOTS of cleaning. So much dust! But it is so close to being finished.

Christmas

18 days till Christmas! The other day we got to decorate our Christmas tree. It was fun. I love the fact the each of our ornaments mean something and how we get a new one each year, although our tree is getting rather full. : )

Military Friends Update

Continue praying for the guys. Nathanael, JT, Nick, Tim, and Brent. They have all finished boot-camps of various kinds and are in advanced training. Continue praying for them to stay strong in the faith and keep there standards high. And that they won't get to lonely during the holiday season. Nathanael get to come home on leave for awhile during December, I don't know about the other guys. Steven is home for 6 months till he returns to Iraq. Alex is home now too.

Messiah

Mom, Dad, Anton, and I went to see Handle's Messiah last night. That is the official start of the Christmas season for us. I love that performance.

Black Friday

The day after Thanksgiving. Everyones goes shopping right? Not us. My parents, brother, and I went to the new house of the family I am living with to help with the remodeling. We taped windows, hung drywall, and laid subfloor for the tile floor. We had a long day. But is was nice too.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was great. We all got together at my Grandmas house. We all has turkey and all the fixings.

Caden Singing

I just figured out how to load videos today so this one is a little old.

Gentleman

Pint sized Gentleman. AKA Caden. He likes to open doors and carry things for him mother and me. We encourage it when he does it. This morning was so cute though. He was intently studing his breakfast and I had just finished doing my hair up in a ponytail and I had on a simple T-shirt and jeans. When he looks up and says: "Elizabeth, you look nice today." Then he went back to his breakfast. I said thank you. But it just made my day : ) for a three year old boy to take time away from his breakfast to give me a complement.

Sunset

My flight was canceled and I was moved to another flight today so I got to see one more sunset. I am really excited to see my family.

Pastel Sunset

This was my last sunset in Florida. It was beautiful.
God paints amazing pictures. And his blended colors always look good together.

For You Jacob

Jacob you wanted a picture of a stingray and I got one for you, and got very wet in the process. Here it is. I was a foot away from it.

The kids love to dance. We put on music and they just have fun.
